Pachacamac Sanctuary and Cooking Experience

Day 1 | Lima - Transfer In

At arrival to Lima capital of Peru, transfer to your hotel in the Miraflores district.

Day 2 | Lima City

Morning Private City Tour; we start with Downtown Colonial Lima. First, we pass by the “Paseo de la República” avenue where we can observe the magnificent Courthouse, the French Palace, continuing with the San Martin Square and the Main Square where we have the Cathedral, the Archbishopric, the Government Palace and the Lima City Hall. Then we will visit the San Francisco Convent and the Catacombs. After Downtown Colonial Lima, we proceed to Modern Lima with its traditional districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, where we will be able to enjoy beautiful places like El Olivar Park, the Miraflores Central Park, the Love Park, the Larcomar Mall and the Huaca Pucllana Archaeological Complex. Lunch is included in La Huaca Pucllana restaurant. After lunch, transfer to your hotel. Free afternoon, we recommend Paragliding or Shopping in Miraflores.

Day 3 | Pachacamac Archaeological Complex - Gastronomic Demonstrative Class

After breakfast, Private Tour to Pachacamac Archaeological Complex located 31 km south of Lima. It was one of the most important ceremonial centers of the pre-Spanish America. The place encompasses temples and pyramids like the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Chosen Women and its Oracle, visited by thousands of pilgrims to find out about the past and future in their lives. Pachacamac is also one of the most important archaeological complexes in Peru. In the past, it was the most visited Huaca (Oracle) consulted by the Andean people, leaving a deep legacy even up to now. After that we will visit a local market in the Lurín Valley to buy ingredients to cook our lunch together; a Cooking Demonstration of how to make some of the most traditional and representative dishes in Peruvian gastronomy and of course the signature cocktail: Pisco Sour. In fall and winter, it will take place at our Pachacamac country house where we will cook a traditional Pachamanca (Pre-Inca technique) while in spring and summer, it will be at the One Earth Beach House where we will learn how to make a good Ceviche and other seafood specialties. Return to Lima at dusk.

Day 4 | Lima

Transfer out and end of our services.

Included: All transfers, 3 nights at a 3 stars hotel in Lima, Private Colonial and Modern Lima City Tour, Private Tour to Pachacamac Sanctuary and Cooking Experience. Meals: 3 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 1 demonstrative class lunch.
