The “City of Kings” and capital of Peru, was founded by Spanish Conqueror Francisco Pizarro on January 18th, 1535. Located at 170 meters above sea level with a population amounting to over one-third of the country’s total. Lima is characterized by a cultural blend and a great number of attractions. In Lima you can find impressive Pre-Inca pyramids surrounding the city, beautiful beaches with excellent waves, the best museums; in the downtown area an active nightlife, the charisma of its people and a fabulous and varied gastronomic offer with many of the best restaurants in Peru. Some of the most remarkable attractions are the San Francisco Church, the Archaeological and Anthropological Museum of Peru, the Cathedral, the Main Square, The Golden Museum, the Miraflores and Barranco districts, the Modern Larcomar and Jockey Plaza shopping malls, the Huaca Pucllana Archaeological Site and the impressive structures of the Pachacamac Sanctuary.

Full Day | Modern and Colonial Lima & Pachacamac

Full day private Lima city tour; we start with a walk along the Miraflores “Malecon” with an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean, then we head to Lima center on the way we will see the pre Inca Huaca Pucllana archaeological complex and El Olivar Park in San Isidro district. We pass by the “Paseo de la República” avenue where we can observe the magnificent Courthouse, the French Palace, continuing with the San Martin Square and the Main Square where we have the Cathedral, the Archbishopric, the Government Palace and the Lima City Hall. Then we will visit the San Francisco Convent and the Catacombs. The buffet lunch is included in Puro Perú restaurant, to learn a little about the diversity of the Peruvian cuisine. After lunch private tour to Pachacamac Archaeological Complex located 31 km south of Lima. It was one of the most important ceremonial centers of the pre-Spanish America. The place encompasses temples and pyramids like the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Chosen Women and its Oracle, visited by thousands of pilgrims to find out about the past and future in their lives; it was the most visited Huaca (Oracle) consulted by the Andean people, leaving a deep legacy even up to now. Return to hotel.
