Lima – Cusco – Arequipa | 8 days



Day 1 | Lima

Transfer in to your hotel in Lima.

Day 2 | Lima - Arequipa

At arrival to Arequipa, transfer in to your hotel. After check in, city tour; first we proceed downtown, we will visit one of the most impressive architectural monuments in town, the magnificent Monastery of Santa Catalina and then we continue with the beautiful Main Plaza and the San Ignacio de Loyola Church.

Day 3 | Arequipa - Colca Canyon

Morning departure to Colca Canyon, on the way we visit the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas, which is located at 4800 meters above sea level, arrival to the village of Chivay at midday. After lunch, we’ll have a relaxing afternoon in the thermal baths. Night free.

Day 4 | Colca Canyon - Arequipa

Early in the morning we depart to Cruz Del Condor, border cliff of one of the deepest canyons on earth. Here with a little luck we’ll spot the Andean Condor, we’ll also visit various towns and observation points of the canyon along the way, return to Chivay at midday, lunch in Chivay and return to Arequipa. Arrival to Arequipa in the afternoon.

Day 5 | Arequipa - Cusco - Ollantaytambo

Transfer to Arequipa airport and flight to Cusco. At arrival private tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we’ll visit downtown Pisac and then, free time to shop in the famous handicraft market. For lunch we suggest the Huacatay restaurant in Urubamba (novo-andina cuisine). In the afternoon visit to artist Pablo Seminario’s house and the Ollantaytambo complex. Overnight in Ollantaytambo.

Day 6 | Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu - Cusco

In the morning, train to Aguas Calientes, on arrival private tour to Machu Picchu Historical Sanctuary at sunrise, Machu Picchu one of the new seven wonders of the world, stands 2,430 m above sea-level, in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. It was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. The natural setting, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna. Most archaeologists believe that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472). Often referred to as the “Lost City of the Incas”, it is perhaps the most familiar icon of Inca civilization. Then we will have free time to enjoy the complex on your own. In the afternoon we will return to Aguas Calientes and take the train to Ollantaytambo, from there bus to our hotel in Ccusco. Night free.

Day 7 | Cusco

City tour includes visit to Quenco, Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucará and Tambomachay complexes, the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha and the Cathedral in Cusco. Night free.

Day 8 | Cusco - Lima

Transfer to Cusco airport and flight back to Lima. End of our services.
