Day 1 | Lima
Transfer in to your hotel in Lima.
Day 2 | Lima
After breakfast the tour starts in Miraflores district with a visit to the Miraflores Market to learn a little about the diversity of the products in our country. Walk along the Miraflores “Malecon” with an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean and then, transfer to the Barranco district, which is considered to be the city’s most romantic and bohemian district, home and working place of many of Peru’s leading artists, musicians, designers and photographers. Gourmet buffet lunch included at Puro Peru restaurant, here we will taste the diversity of the Peruvian cuisine. After lunch, colonial Lima tour, we pass by the “Paseo de la República” avenue where we can observe the magnificent Courthouse, the French Palace, continuing with San Martin Square and the Main Square where we have the Cathedral, the Archbishopric, the Government Palace and the Lima City Hall. Finally visit to the Larco Museum, which features the finest gold and silver collection from Ancient Peru and the famous erotic archaeological collection, and is one of the most visited Peruvian tourist attractions. Return to your hotel and night free. Remember that Lima has a very wide range of excellent restaurants, like Astrid & Gaston and Central considered among the 20 best restaurants in the world.
Day 3 | Lima – Cusco – Pisac – Urubamba Valley – Ollantaytambo
Transfer to Lima airport and flight to Cusco. On arrival to Cusco, transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We visit downtown Pisac and then, free time to shop in the famous handicraft market. For lunch we suggest the Huacatay restaurant in Urubamba (novo-andina cuisine). In the afternoon visit to artist Pablo Seminario’s house and the Ollantaytambo complex. Overnight in Ollantaytambo.
Day 4 | Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu – Cusco
In the morning, train to Aguas Calientes, on arrival private tour to Machu Picchu, one of the new seven wonders of the world, stands 2,430 m above sea-level, in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. It was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. The natural setting, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna. Most archaeologists believe that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472). Often referred to as the “Lost City of the Incas”, it is perhaps the most familiar icon of Inca civilization. Then we will have free time to enjoy the complex on your own. In the afternoon we will return to Aguas Calientes and take the train to Ollantaytambo, from there bus to our hotel in Cusco. Night free.
Day 5 | Cusco
City tour includes visit to Qenco, Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucará and Tambomachay complexes, the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha and the Cathedral in Cusco. Night free.
Day 6 | Cusco - Lima
Transfer to Cusco airport, flight back to Lima and transfer on arrival to Lima and transfer to the hotel. Last day in Lima to enjoy its exquisite cuisine. Free time for lunch. After lunch visit to the Gold Museum of Peru, after that transfer to Lima airport and end of our services.
